Located slightly away from central Kyoto, the site is nestled in a tranquil area rich in natural beauty and historical culture.
The project is set along the foothills of a wooded mountainside, where seasonal landscapes unfold through maple and cherry trees, offering ever-changing scenery throughout the year.
This project sought to harmonize architecture with its surrounding natural environment while carrying forward the enduring beauty of traditional Sukiya architecture into contemporary living.
By incorporating natural elements such as the garden, mountain views, and the gentle flow of water into daily life, the residence has been revitalized into a home that offers both tranquility and a profound sense of richness.
