English description provided by the architects.

Developed as an investment project for short-term rentals, this studio of approximately 36 m² (387 sq ft) underwent a renovation focused on resource rationalization and spatial enhancement through strategic decisions.

On a limited budget, the intervention concentrated on a few high-impact elements: continuous flooring, integrated lighting, and custom millwork.

These components structure the project and play a central role in organizing uses, building the atmosphere, and defining the identity of the space.

The layout was reorganized based on the logic of temporary occupancy, prioritizing functional clarity, comfort, and flexibility.

The millwork functions as a spatial organizer, articulating the studio's different activities — sleeping, working, cooking, and living — without resorting to conventional partitions.

Panels, niches, countertops, and cabinets trace subtle boundaries, organize storage, and reduce the need for freestanding furniture.

The choice of a continuous light green floor reinforces spatial unity, expands the perception of the space, and serves as the primary touch of color, while the wood materiality introduces warmth and contrasts with the neutral surfaces.

The exposed concrete ceiling was preserved and highlighted through indirect lighting, which softens the presence of the raw material and contributes to a cozier atmosphere.

The artificial lighting combines general and accent lighting, allowing for different readings of the space throughout the day and enhancing the user experience — a fundamental aspect of projects targeted at the short-term rental market.

The result is a compact, efficient, and precise studio, where budget constraints are converted into design strategies, and every constructive decision contributes to a functional, comfortable space aligned with the demands of contemporary living.
