English description provided by the architects.
Architecture that celebrates the natural transition between day and night, using light and shadow to create a dynamic play of contrasts.
The filled spaces, with their defined functions, are complemented by the emptiness of the courtyards, which act as visual and sensory ventilators.
This interaction between filled and empty, along with the variety of materials, allows each person to experience the space differently, making the refuge a deeply personal place that adapts to various perceptions and needs.
Burnt wood, with its dark texture and color, brings a sense of tradition and resilience, evoking ancient construction techniques that protect and enhance the material. Concrete, on the other hand, offers modernity and sturdiness, creating a solid and lasting foundation.
Together, these materials create a visual and tactile synergy that highlights the architectural details, making each element of the design feel intentional and significant. This approach not only honors the past but also offers a contemporary and timeless aesthetic.
The beauty of the ancestral is manifested in the combination of burnt wood and concrete, a contrast that highlights the elements in architecture. Subtle transitions create tension between the visible and the hidden.
