English description provided by the architects.

Farm Table, part of the Seven Lakes landscape restaurant and hotel complex in Kyiv suburb, is a waterside dining space built around a single-source kitchen and a commitment to local ingredients.

The menu — centered on fish from the property's own lakes and seasonal farm-grown produce — reflects a philosophy of "honest taste" that is deeply rooted in Ukrainian culinary traditions.

The atmosphere continues this commitment to locality and sincerity. The interior feels airy and tactile, filled with natural textures that create an immediate sense of comfort. It is a space designed for unwinding and slowing down.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows with a guillotine opening system rise vertically in warm weather, erasing the boundary between the restaurant and the surrounding garden and merging them into one seamless environment.

The open kitchen further integrates the experience, making the act of cooking part of the guest's connection to the place.

The primary material in the interior is Ukrainian red sandstone from the Terebovlia quarry — a warm, grainy stone with a naturally matte finish.

Used for the flooring, large communal tables, and bar elements, it brings an authentic, raw character to the space.

Typically reserved for exterior use, such as fences and building foundations, sandstone rarely appears in interiors.

YOD Group highlights its unique beauty, allowing it to become a defining feature.

Its deep wine tone pairs harmoniously with light wood accents and the soft, muted hues of linen curtains.

A large sculptural wine display in the restaurant lobby is also carved from solid sandstone — a weighty, textured monolith that invites touch.

In contrast to the imitation materials often used in public interiors, this genuine stone centerpiece reinforces the project's philosophy of staying close to nature.

Local pine trees planted in oversized tubs enhance the sense of continuity between inside and out.

Circular skylights introduce additional natural light essential for the plants, while also giving the minimalist interior a subtly cosmic feel, softening its straight lines with rounded forms.

"We merged the kitchen's internal philosophy with the natural context of Seven Lakes to create a space that extends the landscape rather than competes with it.

This is how our terroir design approach works," says Volodymyr Nepiyvoda, managing partner of YOD Group.
