Designing a residence in the heart of one of the busiest neighborhoods in the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara was quite a challenge, especially considering the proximity of the condominium's clubhouse and the entrance booth.
The family sought an intimate and private home, and this is how we achieved Casa EV, a unique and cozy space.
In the quest for originality, we ventured to explore with new materials, such as charred wood.
This Japanese technique gives an ancestral and vernacular character to the main volume of the façade, creating a unique connection with history and the environment.
The architectural design of Casa EV manifests through bridges that connect the different areas, inviting residents to navigate the home in a fluid and enveloping way.
The heart of the project is an impressive black wrought iron staircase that spans the three levels of the residence, thus becoming a functional sculptural monument that unifies vertical circulation.
The landscaping plays a fundamental role by surrounding the entire property, acting as a visual plant barrier that provides privacy to the interior without resorting to high adjoining walls.
This solution respects the natural coexistence of the communities, while the landscape design evolves over time, gradually claiming the entrance and architecture.
The interior distribution of Casa EV offers various social areas, such as the kitchen and dining room, as well as multiple living rooms and terraces on different levels, providing residents with the opportunity to interact with nature in unique ways.
Among these areas, there is a singular space: a "man cave" designed specifically for hunting activities, adding a distinctive touch to the project.
The structure of the house, with exposed beams in a matte black tone, adds a serious and industrial touch, creating a contemporary and elegant aesthetic that highlights the architectural lines.
This element harmoniously merges with the natural oak carpentry, designed in an American oak tone, with the purpose of creating unique and minimalist designs that give a cozy feeling to the house.
The carpentry becomes a key element for the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Casa EV.
The tones of American oak integrate perfectly with the overall design, creating a color palette that resonates with the surrounding nature and contributes to a unique home experience.
Additionally, a double-height bookshelf stands out, which not only serves a practical function but also acts as a visual capstone from various points in the house.
This element adds a touch of sophistication and character, becoming a focal attraction that enriches the interior architecture.
Casa EV is more than just a simple residence; it is a work where each element intertwines to form a harmonious and aesthetically striking ensemble, merging innovation with comfort, creating a home that reflects the identity and desires of its inhabitants.
