English description provided by the architects.

The project is located at a vibrant corner of Tay Ninh City. It was renovated from an old, typical townhouse, which seemed to have lost its potential for redevelopment.

The interior space was fragmented, dim, and nearly devoid of life. But from that, we saw the potential for revival and a clear design direction.

We started by listening to the place itself. The idea did not come from a distant vision but from the existing urban context.

A modern, dry, and hurried city, where people often only glance at each other's surface.

We kept the raw elements – the concrete walls and columns – and added metal cladding, which is hard, cold, and sharp, as a metaphor for the contemporary urban image: distant, solemn, and closed off.

But that is just the surface – a neutral layer, like the first glance between people.

Inside, the entire space was restructured with dark wood, soft fabrics, warm brown tones, and calming green.

The space does not flaunt itself but invites discovery, like an inner voice, like a gaze that sees deeper, where everything is no longer as cold as the exterior.

We believe that architecture doesn't just shape space; it also touches emotions.

The metal and concrete serve as the outer shell, strong and steadfast, while the wood, fabric, warm browns, greens, and plants speak the inner voice, soft, warm, and full of life.

The city is still out there, but the sense of familiarity is preserved here.

HỚP does not separate itself from the city, but chooses to pause within it, inviting people to come in. Just one step through the door, and everything shifts in rhythm.

We hope that in this slower pace, people will find a space of peace, enough to pause, enough to stay longer, and enough to truly see each other.
