Today, the beauty market is no longer confined to simply decorating one's appearance.
It has become a language of its own—revealing personal tastes, allowing one to encounter another side of oneself through diverse styles.
Beauty now extends beyond external styling, evolving into a multifaceted culture that expresses identity, self-care, and one's way of life.
Salon Hearts' second store, "He:arts Hannam," is located in Hannam-dong, the heart of Seoul and a hub of trends. Salon Hearts pursues timeless beauty.
More than reproducing trends, it continues to explore and evolve, creating its own art and performances, and leading culture with a sincere approach to beauty.
The authenticity that Hearts pursues resonates naturally with the direction of today's Korean beauty market. Korea has now entered an era of "slow aging" rather than "anti-aging."
Instead of resisting the signs of age, beauty is redefined as regeneration—embracing longevity and mental well-being, and seeking a natural return to simplicity and essence.
Reflecting this philosophy, we interpret Hearts' sincerity through the concept of "Correspondence of the Senses."
It is not merely a place for styling hair, but a space that returns to the essence—where clients receive fundamental services such as head spa treatments, personalized product recommendations, and restorative care.
The moment one closes their eyes and feels another's hands on their hair, the senses naturally awaken.
Within these limited gestures, heightened sensations meet and create extraordinary experiences.
This space becomes a stage where senses correspond, and where the client connects deeply with them.
The layout places the central lounge at the core, with the spa zone to the left, the makeup zone in the middle, and the hair zone to the right.
These three sensory spaces define the store, while staff areas are positioned at the back to separate workflows and circulation naturally.
To complement the site's low and horizontally stretched proportions, the central masses are kept low and unified under a flat ceiling, which creates a sense of openness and breadth.
Upon entering, visitors encounter the lounge. The counter, softly illuminated translucent glass boxes, and the interplay of straight and curved masses physically express "Correspondence of the Senses.
" At the center, an artwork by artist Jisun Kim embodies "textures of perception," symbolizing the identity of He:arts Hannam. Passing through the corridor beside the counter, one enters the hair zone.
Here, hair units are arranged between staggered volumes made of contrasting materials and forms, naturally blocking views between clients and creating a more private atmosphere.
Above, the treatment zone is filled with natural light, offering warmth and comfort to clients who spend longer hours there, easing the sense of waiting.
At the end of the lounge's left corridor, two spa rooms—one private and one shared—are located. The corridor itself serves as a transitional zone, opening perspectives and introducing rhythm to the spatial flow.
The spa rooms are not merely spaces for shampooing; they are places where another layer of sensation opens.
In contrast to the store's overall tone and manner, the darker ambience and the subtle yet intense glow of the walls create a striking interplay.
This balance allows clients to fully immerse themselves in their senses, encountering an extraordinary, out-of-the-ordinary experience. The makeup zone, in contrast, embraces brightness.
With satin acrylics and glass, it forms luminous volumes that seem to hold light itself. Clients can receive makeup services in a transparent, refreshing, and comfortable atmosphere.
Overall, the store embodies a minimal design language, enriched with a variety of textures.
Special painting, bead-blasted metal, satin acrylic, and other contrasting materials add depth to the bright tonal palette.
The brand's neutral identity is expressed through accents of blue, cork linoleum, and eco-friendly finishes—bringing a sense of sustainability as well as playful vibrancy.
"He:arts Hannam" goes beyond a salon that only polishes external beauty.
It is a place where clients experience themselves through multiple senses, encountering both the inner and the outer self, and discovering their true beauty.
