The moment when daily life becomes a scene. A false phenomenon that seems real but does not exist is the dictionary definition of "virtual."
Now that unprecedented technologies are being incorporated into everyday life and are living together, we have entered an era where we cannot help but consider various virtualities as real.
The act of entrusting work to AI, the lack of fandom between avatar singers and real singers, and the popularization of AR-based games make us feel that the scope of virtuality has changed significantly.
How do people who like comics perceive comics in their daily lives? How far have they brought the subject into my reality?
It is clear that they are keeping it much closer than just paper or screens. LEBOM Cafe is a dedicated space for people who like comics. It periodically becomes a comic pop-up space where fans stay.
Since various scenes from comics must be installed here every time, the client wanted the space to become a background for comics. Comic manuscript paper appears at this point.
The entire space becomes comic manuscript paper, and here, characters and reality are mixed. It is a time when my daily life becomes a scene for a moment.
The manuscript paper, which can be rotated like turning a comic page, contains comics and reality through the empty space.
Depending on the purpose, such as a signing event, it acts as a partition and changes the composition of the space.
The design to rotate the comic manuscript paper has developed into a cross pillar and upper stand shape to allow for the combination of signs, banners, etc., and has become a major element of the space.
The furniture is designed as a module to accommodate various types of goods created for each pop-up.
The stand is made in several forms and placed on the closet and stand to help display the goods.
In a social atmosphere where individual tastes are increasingly respected, we hope that a pop-up space dedicated to comics will produce good results.
