This house was conceived from the start to be sold as an investment for a client. The interior layout is very commercial.
But we wanted to make something different, something that stood out from the rest of the houses in the neighborhood.
The construction process can be summarized in three basic steps.
First the steel structure had to be built, we chose steel because, despite being more expensive than traditional methods, its very easy and fast to install.
Then the floorslabs where added, and last, all the walls where built. The exterior walls are made of aparent red bricks.
This was so we didnt have to worry about adding any more finishes, thus saving more construction time.
The materials and forms that compose house make it seem like a traditional home but with a more contemporary twist thanks to the aparent steel structure and the glass windows and balcony.
