Architects kept old construction elements and the chimney stack and combined them with new architectural elements.

South orientation with high celling creates a light and spacious ambient. In the winter sun penetrates deep into the apartment while in summer the living area stays in the shadow.

That provides good climate without artificial heating or cooling. The living area extrudes to the terrace with a view of the city.

On the north side there are sleeping rooms and service. Chimney stack forms a gap between the day and night areas. Additional staircase provides approach to apartment.

New epoxy flooring and simple white furniture create a contrast to 100 years old pine wood structure. The bricks of an old chimney are kept as a reminiscence of the past. New staircase is made of steel construction with larch stairs. It is enclosed with acrylic panels grown with Kiwi plant.
