The Tourist Board of the Provincial Council of Granada decided to renew the image of its office.
In the previous distribution, storage area consumed half of the floor space and customer service area was reduced to a minimum.
Natural light was in the background and the courtyards of the building blinded and forgotten.
We proposed two keys actions: the cleaning and release of surface in the inside part and the managing of the freed space by a new element as a surround capable, a body that breathes, creates a welcoming environment for tourists and whose movements form and function the furniture.
Stainless steel is a manipulable material and resistant to daily wear; it’s ceiling, wall and floor and builds a perforated skin with successive sections fit into the spaces and uses, creating a single image where the brick, marble and the patios live together with contemporary architecture.
